Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has confirmed that U.S. midfielder Tyler Adams is ready to return to action on Monday when the Cherries face West Ham in the Premier League.
Injury Update
Adams, 25, missed Bournemouth’s 2-1 win over Ipswich Town last week due to a minor knock. Iraola decided to rest him as a precaution after the midfielder had played back-to-back full matches. Speaking on Friday, Iraola stated, “I expect Tyler to be available, he’s ready.”
Season So Far
Adams has had a challenging season, missing the first two months due to back surgery. He also sat out much of the 2023-24 campaign following two surgeries and recurring back spasms. Monday’s game could mark his fifth start in the Premier League this season.
Past Performance
In the 2023-24 season, Adams made just five appearances for Bournemouth across all competitions, totaling 138 minutes due to injury setbacks. Despite these struggles, he shone for the USMNT in the CONCACAF Nations League finals, scoring a stunning long-range goal in the final against Mexico.
What’s Next?
Bournemouth will face West Ham on Monday at 3 p.m. ET, aiming for their fourth consecutive victory as they climb the Premier League standings. Tyler Adams’ return could be a key boost for the Cherries.
